Order some books by Mel Bay. They are excellent! They are vey easy to understand and follow along on your own - especially for a beginner. And they are not very expensive! Also look for Ritchie! She features the older, more traditional songs but her books are a little more complicated. If you want specific names. Let me know.

See if google will yield Eureka Springs, Arkansas, USA- Maybe yellow pages. You should get many hits on just the two words-- Appalachian harp and dulcimer.
I was there last year and there was a shop that does mail order, makes and sells dulcimers and CD's and gives lessons.
