Tips To Reduce Your Stress

Did you know that peanuts are a stress reducer? Eat a handful of peanuts the next time you are stressed to the limit. Peanuts have magnesium in them, which is known to help regulate stress hormones.

Tip: Tips To Reduce Your Stress

Here are FREE ways to reduce your stress. Try to cultivate a few of these into your lifestyle and see if your stress doesn't diminish significantly!

  • Learn to believe LESS is MORE.
  • Go to bed on time.
  • Get up on time so you can start the day unrushed.
  • Say NO to projects that don't fit your schedule or compromise your mental health.
  • Delegate (from unloading the dishwasher to the chair of your child's school committee).
  • Allow extra time to get things done and to get places-expect the unexpected.
  • Pace yourself - spread out big projects into manageable tasks.
  • PRAY, read your Bible, develop friendships with Godly people.
  • Take one day at a time.
  • Learn the difference between a WORRY and a CONCERN.
  • If you can't do anything about a situation, FORGET IT!
  • Laugh, then laugh some more (especially when you don't feel like it).
  • Live within your means.
  • Have back-ups (extra set of keys, stamps, $20 bill hidden away, etc.) to avoid a crisis.
  • Play with a puppy.
  • Do something for the KID in you EVERY day.
  • Eat right.
  • Get organized - put things away in their proper place. Less work later on and you can actually FIND the things you need to complete a project, dinner or task.
  • Improve the quality of your life by listening to books on tape in the car or on your MP3 player while driving or exercising.
  • Write it down whether it be your grocery list or your dreams, thoughts, hopes and fears (whether it be a journal or your daily planner).
  • Take time to be ALONE every day - this has a very soothing effect.
  • Develop a forgiving attitude.
  • Be kind (especially to unkind people, they probably need it the most).
  • Get some exercise.
  • Talk LESS, Listen MORE.
  • SLOW DOWN (while you drive, talk, DO).
  • Keep a thankful or grateful list and review it when you are feeling down, overwhelmed or annoyed. You really are too blessed to be stressed!
  • Take your work seriously but don't take yourself seriously.
  • Sit on your ego.
  • Keep the right focus: think on what ever is true, noble, right, lovely, pure, admirable and excellent or praiseworthy.
and... make it a good day!
