How can you get baked on soap off car windows? I have tried acetone, Windex, mineral spirits, and Spic n Span. None of them have worked. Where we used "elbow grease" there is still a residue that won't come off.

I had someone write on my car windows with soap. I tried the scraping and baby wipes (I have a newborn and lots of baby wipes) and it really works! No residue. I used window cleaner after using the wipes.

Don't know if this would work on car windows or not (and you'd definitely want to try it on a small, inconspicuous area first), but a friend who had dried on soap left on a bathroom mirror and had tried everything else, was able to finally remove it with toothpaste.

Scrape it off with a razor type scraper. It does a great job of removing everything from tape to gunk. Good luck!

Use baby wipe it works great on removing stubborn stains. On windows, it's truly amazing.

Try scraping it with a single edged razor blade.

Go to an Automotive Glass Shop and ask for a glass polishing compound/cleaner You might also try getting a hard water spot remover from a Marine supply store.
I use a hard water stain removing product that I get from "AutoGlass" of Portland Oregon and it works great
