We enjoy the butterflies as well. One year we got a butterfly "weed" and planted it in front. It took off! The first year we have 6 catepillars at the same time and tons of Monarchs! This plant puts out lots of fluffy seeds, so I grabbed some and started spreading them around the yard (at no extra cost). Now we have 3 separate butterfly areas, two of them right outside the windows. They are beautiful plants and quite hearty, which helps them withstand the harsh Austin dryness and heat.
Seeds can turn nothing into something quite amazing.

It sure is nice to hear from someone who can see the simple beauty in life and enjoy and savor it for what it is. I have found it to be a source of comfort and reassurance in stressful times, like the wind whistling through the pines, the ocean lapping at the shore, the call of a mother bird to her babies. It all holds a special meaning for the caring and sensitive individuals who have come to understand its soulful effects. Blessings, and continue to enjoy and savor ever more!
