One of my favorite sites ivillage.com has great message boards. (At least) One of the boards is devoted to finding free samples and other freebies .. they're posted by readers so sometimes there aren't as many freebies out there but there's usually at least a few posted everyday!

try these http://www.freebies.com , http://www.fabfreebies.com , and http://www.topfreesamples.com is a listing of a whole bunch of freebie sites. I have received many free things from alot of these sites.
Try FreeCycle.com. You can pick a group in your area. Great place to give and get free stuff.
It is geared more towards teenagers, but adults can use it too.
