Check out your butcher's specials--sometimes you can get a better deal than their advertised special. I always ask the butcher if I can get a better deal if I buy a larger quantity of the already advertised special. More than half the time, if I buy in 5 pound, 10 pound or higher bundle, the price per pound comes down.

In the UK local butchers are well worth visiting. Not only are they more flexible than supermarket chains but they have great specials and "homemade" stuff you'll never find anywhere else! - local sausages etc. WELL WORTH A GO! All the best! Julie x
