Make Pantyhose Last

When I open a new package, I put the pantyhose immediately in the freezer overnight which sets the mesh and resists snags and tears. When removed and warmed to room temperature, I spray the pantyhose lightly with hairspray. This puts a double-setting on the mesh and ensures that you will get full use out of your pantyhose.

When you remove them from the package, do you simply place them in the freezer, or put them in a plastic bag? Do they go in dry?

This tip certainly works. When I was working, I put all my new pantyhose in the freezer.

Freeze Pantyhose To Make Them Last

The next pair of panty hose you buy, put water in a ziploc zipper bag and put your new panty hose inside put in the freezer. A couple of days before you need them, take out, un-thaw and hang to dry. They will be difficult to put on the first time, but will last much longer.

Once a month, put them in freezer bag with no water overnight. Freezing them strengthens the fibres which prevents runs. They will last a long time. I have had my 2 pairs for a year.
