Strawberry Butter Torte

Ingredients:

• 1/4 cup melted butter
• 1 cup vanilla wafer crumbs
• 1/2 cup butter, softened
• 2 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
• 2 eggs
• 1 1/2 cups sliced fresh strawberries
• 1 cup whipping cream
• 1/4 cup sugar
• 1/2 cup vanilla wafer crumbs

Directions:

Combine melted butter and 1 cup crumbs in bowl; mix well. Press over bottom of 8x8 inch dish. Combine remaining softened butter and confectioners' sugar in mixer bowl. Beat until light and fluffy. Add eggs; beat well. Spread over crumbs. Spoon strawberries on top. Whip cream with sugar in bowl until soft peaks form. Spread over strawberries. Sprinkle remaining crumbs on top. Keep refrigerated.
