RE: Vidalia Chop Wizard Reviews
I love mine. Got it at a garage sale for a dollar and have used it for 3 years now. I absolutely love it and it makes chopping a lot easier!

RE: Vidalia Chop Wizard Reviews
WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT ! I purchased mine at Linens N' Things and used it for 2 weeks. It takes a lot of muscle to chop and is loud on the countertop. A hinge on the side broke so I took it back with the receipt only to find out they were going out of business and would not honor the receipt. Of course when I bought it there was no mention of going belly up. I called the manufacturer and they said since I did not buy it directly from them they could not do anything about it. They made the product and it certainly should last more than 2 weeks. If I would have read the reviews I would NOT have purchased one since there are more bad than good reviews. I guess I should have researched a little before buying as it is cheaply made. BUYER BEWARE---THIS IS NOT WORTH BUYING, SAVE YOUR MONEY.

I love my Vidalia Chop Wizard! I have had mine for over a year without any problems whatsoever! I use it more than my Magic Bullet because it cuts things evenly and without liquefying them. Perfect for salads, soups, stews, and I have even used the small blades for dicing pecan halves for the holiday recipes I use them in. I give this product 5 stars!

I too loved using this product till my husband tried to chop a potato. Believe it or not the whole thing exploded into about 8 pieces. Luckily it didn't hurt him. Please be careful with this product.

I have used the vidalia chop wizard more than once for fruits and vegetables. It works great and it is also dishwasher safe.

It's a wonderful chopper and I loved it --UNTIL IT BROKE! One of the knobs/hinges that the top rests on split off. I would love to have another, but can't afford to spend another $20 to replace it. Wallgeen would not take it back because I had tried to repair the break.

I absolutely love it. The trick is to slice everything before you put it in the Wizard. I have had no problem with mine. I use it for everything and save so much time by using it. What a great idea for a kitchen tool!

i HAVE tried the vidalia chop wizard. It is easy to clean and chopps onions very well. The one draw back is the plastic button hinge on the right side. This shatters afer a few chops. Both my orginal and the replacement I purchased had the same problem. I will not buy another until this problem is resolved

RE: Vidalia Chop Wizard Reviews
Be careful you are eating plastic! I realized it was chopping away the plastic from the little cubes. So you are not eating just the chopped vegetables!

Is there a special way to remove the inserts from the slice wizard?. I am having a heck of a time getting mine out. I've tried pliers and still no luck. Thanks

Absolutely LOVE mine! I use it all the time! Just make sure you cut your onion in 1/4 slices to get the best effect - less effort to push down. I use it for egg salad, tomatoes for tacos, fruits, you name it!

I too loved my chopwizard, but it broke the very first time I used it! As reported here by others, BOTH the hinge tabs snapped in the course of cutting 1/4 of an onion. I suppose I can now get the same effect by pressing down straight with a hand at each end of the lid, but I am DISAPPOINTED! As I got it as a gift, there's nowhere to go to complain except here.

RE: Vidalia Chop Wizard Reviews
I received one for Christmas. You need a bit of effort to push the chopper down on the onion, however it does a great job. Not for the weak. Only one problem. . . DO NOT put this on the bottom rack of the dishwasher. I made that mistake and have now ruined the container. It melted out of shape. Hope this helps!

I purchased one of the Vidalia Chop Wizards when they first came out and just love mine. I use it all the time. I like mine so much that I turned around and bought one for each of my 4 grown children for their kitchens. Just make sure they are the Vidalia Chop Wizard Brand as their are imitations out there that don't work so well. Dee in Wash.

It is wonderful! I had mine for one year and I used it so much it broke! I am going to be buying a replacement real soon as I am completely lost without it! I made homemade salsa with it cutting the tomatoes, onion and jalapeño peppers on it. My husband LOVES my salsa which is saying something since he normally doesn't like salsa!

It's GREAT! I chop and mince everything with it. I do a lot of canning. I canned two boxes of tomatoes - I diced them with this. What a time saver. I'm about to get my second one!

RE: Vidalia Chop Wizard Reviews
At first, I thought it was great - but while trying to cut an onion that was cut into a large slice one of the tabs holding the top in place cracked off. Now - I can still try and use it, but I need to really put weight on it to get it to cut through. It broke the 3rd time I used it.

RE: Vidalia Chop Wizard Reviews
I LOVE IT! I found it at Bed Bath & Beyond, with coupon you get in the mail, it was less than 10.00. I found cutting an onion, you would want to slice it as thick as the large grate (say 1/4 inch) and you get perfect little squares of onion, or you can run them thru twice and then their small. But in all my spouse and I love it. We have cut almost everything from Peppers to Onions and fruit. It is so simple to clean, with the tool they provide, it cleans both the grates and the top. I was so impressed I purchased one for my niece, who is a vegetarian. I know she'll get much use of it. I am only worried about how long the grate will stay as sharp as it is. I was going to purchase a second one for a back up. I Love it.

RE: Vidalia Chop Wizard Reviews
I just used mine to make vegetable soup. At first it was a little hard to push the onion halves through, but I got used to how much pressure it took and then it was no problem. It worked great on the carrots, zucchini and even cabbage. I expect to use it a lot. Clean up was no problem...I used the little tool, rinsed, then put it all in the top rack of my dishwasher.

RE: Vidalia Chop Wizard Reviews
I love my Vidalia Chop Wizard. I use it for everything I need chopped. Of course, onions and peppers, but especially fruit that I am canning. Cherries, Strawberries, Peaches to name a few. I chop batches at a time in no time at all. I have already given at least 4 of them for gifts. I could not do without my chop wizard. I just wish they would add a slicer attachment, to thinly slice veggies and fruits for salads. Then my kitchen would be complete. Thanks!

I bought mine about 3 months ago, and just love the product. At first I thought it was a bit hard to push the lid down, but after some use I know how much to put in the chopper at a time. By the way I use mine at least 5 times a week and will never be without one. I've done peppers, onions, carrots olives, tomatoes, fennel bulb. About the cleaning, I rinse it right away with my sink sprayer and and then I use the tool they give you with it, and mine cleans up just fine. Can't live without one anymore.

I have been waiting for weeks for th chop wizard to arrive. I call the number, they hang up twice before I get them on the phone. They said it took them 6 days to get the order, which I placed over the web and then tell me it hasn't shipped yet, this is now 9 days after I ordered it and the shipping company won't answer after 1 on Friday. Their method, National Express Online is not express. They have gall to have express in their name, it was very far and still is very far from an express order. They don't care about it either.

Don't order this from the web site! They make you order other useless stuff. The chop wizard cost me $60. They don't tell you how much the total order will be. I called a few weeks later after I received my bill. They said sorry because they know their web site will make you expand your order.....

I don't like it! I used it today to chop onions and I had to put my whole body weight on it to chop it and it still wasn't chopped all the way! Don't listen to the others because they don't use it. You can't chop the onion with one hand either. It's a waste of money!

RE: Vidalia Chop Wizard Reviews
I ordered the Vidalia Chop Wizard. Wow, was I disappointed. The lady on tv uses one arm to easily slice a half of an onion or carrots or something. Well, I had to use my whole body weight to chop my half of an onion. I was making stew, and added some carrots that were sliced into thin discs. Again, had to use both arms and my whole body weight. Then...came the cleaning process! I used 2 different scrub brushes and a toothbrush to try to clean out the micro-tiny nooks and crannys of the top of the device. After 20 minutes of soap, scrubbing and "pruny" hands, I ended up sending it back still dirty. I am 46 and not a weakling. I think it sucks!

I have one and it works as it says but, I find it too small to use for most things I make. It can be hard to use if your counters are high so I use it on my kitchen table and it works fine.

The fine blade is perfect for fresh salsa. The course blade did a great job on dried bread, onion and celery for stuffing. Well worth the price. Large onions may need to be sliced into thick (1") slices

Hi Teresa, I just got my Chop Wizard a couple of weeks ago, and I LOVE IT!!! THis week I made several salads and was able to chop the onions, celery, bell pepper, and cheese in probably about a minute's time. For another salad, I chopped strawberries and bananas in a flash! It made perfect square pieces and it was so easy to use and clean up.
I ordered mine from the TV, but I just found it in the Miles Kimball catalog, Item No. 894451 for only $14.99. The Chop Wizard is over $25. I am going to order some from MK for Christmas presents. Check it out on their website. Hope you enjoy your Chop Wizard, no matter WHO you order it from.

They are the BEST kitchen tool I have purchased in a long time! I never put mine in the dishwasher . . . I always handwash it. [I never put my good knives in the dishwasher either :-)} I especially like if for onions and garlic. It saves a lot of time and does a terrific job. I haven't used it for potatoes, carrots, etc. So far, I have just used it for onions but trust me . . . it is worth every penny. I bought one for each of my daughters and two friends! Can you tell I am enthusiastic???
