I use small sewing machine cones for easy threadable children's beads, making people with pipecleaners and various other crafts. With the large overlocker cones they make great funnels in the sandpit, body bases for making people, or Christmas trees (just paint or cover them in fabric), and they make great cutters when making peppermint creams or other small treats.
Hope this gives you some ideas.
