When you go out to eat at a drive-through or eat at your work cafeteria just slip your plastic utensils into your tupperware to take home. Wash and save them. A friend of mine gets about a shoe box full of free plastic forks and spoons each year.

I do this too. My hubby makes fun of me but I keep them for family get-togethers, reunions, etc. and don't have to worry about buying new ones. Also, it certainly helps the landfill problem which I care about for the sake of my children and grandchildren.
