I want to get a "Gazelle", however, there are several styles of them to choose from. I want to get something that is good, but I also have to watch how much money I spend. Does anybody out there have one? If so, what kind? Did it work for you as a form of exercise?

I know that any piece of exercise equipment is only as good as you make it be. That is, you only get out of it what you put into it effort wise. This is a serious request as I am a dedicated exerciser. Thank you.

I love this machine, have had it a few years. Hardly using it up until now using it every day for 20 min. However, the parts have slowly but surely fallen off. The heartbeat mechanism stopped working even with batteries. One of the rods in the front keeps slipping out and my husband keeps trying to fix it to no avail. I love this machine, and I have the extreme, however it's not made very well apparently. But I love the workout if it would just hold together for me!

I have the gazelle and after only 2 weeks of use for 30 min. each day, the fat on my body was MELTING! My pants looked ridiculously big on me and everyone commented on how great this was working for me. My buns were getting lifted and shapelier, my shoulders looked very toned like if I would of spent hours at a gym, or better. My thighs were reducing visibly also. I really love this machine. If the machine ever squeaks put a little oil on the affected area, and I agree opening and closing and moving the machine in its self is a workout, but when you see the results you get...you're going to be eager to move this and get on it!

By the way LOVE TONY LITTLE! I have always gotten results from his products. I still remember that for my senior graduation dress I did 2 months of one of his tapes and I was a BOMBSHELL at that grad. Anyway, love the gazelle!

Has anyone noticed how tight the Tony Little Gazelle is when you first get it? I can hardly move the petals or gliders more then a couple times without being tired. I don't see how to loosen it. Does anyone know? It is suppose to be as loose as it goes I think. I had two cheaper second hand models and used them till I wore them out. They were no where near this tough to use.

I bought the Gazelle Edge after my treadmill broke because it was only 89$ at walmart and i didnt want to make another large investment. I loved the fact that it could be folded up and put away, but i found out very quick that it is awkward and heavy, so i just leave it out, It also made no sound at all, so that was great,I like to watch tv while i work out, that was hard to do with the treadmill but that didnt last long, it started squeaking and wont stop. It is still more quiet than the treadmill. Overall, i like it and use it on a regular basis and am seeing results. What can you excpect for $89?. Just some advice though, it has to be on carpet or it slides around, but it puts bad dents in my carpet that i cant get out, so i put a thick towel under the front corners and that helps alot.

I started using the Gazelle (after owning it for several years and not regularly using it...anyway, I've used it for 10 days straight, working up from 20 mins to 40 mins. I have lost 4 lbs. so far. My goal is to lose 70 lbs, so we'll see how it goes. So far, I'm getting a really good what feels like a cardio workout.

I have had the Gazelle for a long time, but seldome used it since i have a small apt and no place to leave it out in the open. so to use it requires setting it up and moving with each use. i have the lesser expensive model but it is still heavy and awkward to have to set up with each use. as for the effectiveness of the product i have to say that on the few occasions i have used it (probably 10-15 and usually not daily consecutive workouts) i had noticed TERRIFIC results. i felt and looked toner within a day or so even after short tern use. i only wish i had a place to keep this peace of equipment out and ready for use. it is very easy to use and very effective. one problem is that it did begin sqeaking and i cant seem to correct that problem... but that is minor annoyance for a product that works. hopefully some day when i have more space i will be able to get regular use out of it.

My wife and I bought a Gazelle three years ago after seeing it on TV.... We didnt however buy the one on the infomercial.... Its cost back then was $415 and that seemed steep. I researched the different models and I learned some were made with a lighter gauge metal (the Edge) and others were made with a heavier metal (Xtreme and Freestyle)

The Xtreme and the Freestyle are built of the same heavy gauge metal as the one in the infomercial, the only difference is the one in the infomercial has pistons attached that are supposed to give you a tougher workout. I basically felt these pistons were useless. The main reason you buy one of these machines is for a cardiovascular workout and or weight loss... You dont need pistons to do that with this machine!!

The Xtreme and Freestyle sell for $200 to $230, I would buy at the lowest price as I dont think there is any difference between the 2 models.

As for the machine itself, cant say enough about it. Weve placed it right in our family room in view of the TV and we both use it daily for a good workout. This beats all of the other workout machines weve owned, including a skier, stepper, bike, etc. Cant really say enough about it, would never switch to another machine... We are actually getting our moneys worth out of this Gazelle!!

HSN has it at a good price, $199.98 includes free shipping and handling.

I have a Tony Litte Gazelle. I like it as I have knee problems and I can workout without having to bend my knee. Make sure you get one that has resistance pistons so that you get a good workout.

I have set mine in front of a tv with a vcr and record my favorite shows to watch while I workout in the morning. My only complaint is that some of the features are starting to mess up. The timer/counter stopped working even with new batteries and one of the pistons is making a funny soung.

However, I do love this machine as a way to workout.

We got a Gazelle and it worked fine for us for about six weeks. Then I began to get heel and foot issues which required a doctor visit. The doctor said I had strained/sprained my foot and it was because of the motion of the Gazelle. It does not affect everyone like this, but all machines do not work for every body. He recommended that I stick with the treadmill and walking outside. The back and forth motion of the Gazelle was causing stress on my foot and heel. He said to get rid of it...which I did by giving it to my brother. He and his wife love it and use it every day, with no problems. SOOO...it may work for your body and it may not. Good luck!
