Our old dog (PTS just over a year ago), who also lived in the country, managed to break his leg once, we took him to the vet and they said it was broken but they just bandaged it with a soft bandage, we had to take him back for a check up, and it had shattered in the time he was home because he didn't have a proper cast on, the vet was furious (I think one of his nurses had done it), so poor old Strauss ended up with an operation for a plate in his leg and had a cast for quite some time! Then they had the nerve to charge us for their mistakes!!! I'm SO glad that your vet put a cast on straight away! Best wishes for Thing One, I hope she's feeling better soon!
