The only one I've seen at Lehman's is plastic, but I'll look again. We have the plastic one, but the lids keep breaking, and on one, the actual container cracked, and we hadn't had them long. Other than that, they work AWESOME!

try lehmans. they have a website. they sell a lot of non-electric items to the amish. i've seen a washer in their catalog like you are describing.
