I'm a trash to treasure person. I was given some card board cones, which used to have cotton yarn. They're approximately 8" high. I can see them done as "angels". Any ideas?

They'd make cute Christmas trees. You could also use them to make Victorian flower baskets or candy holders for all the holidays: cover the cone with pretty paper or cloth, trim the opening with lace, add a satin ribbon to hang. I've seen things like these in catalogs and they are not cheap!

K, thanks. Wonderful share. I saw those also. I'm trying to get a jump on Christmas this year. So I'm trying to limit what I make. So this year is Bleach bottle Santa's, Cone angel's and individual ornaments. Keeper in NC

Angels would be cute. With a cone shape I can also see a Santa since you already have the pointed top for a hat. Or a Halloween witch. Or a fairy like Glenda the good witch from Wiz of oz.

When I first read this I pictured painting or decorating the cones with fabric and using them for indoor bowling.
