Beef Stew Casserole
- 2 1/2-3 lbs. lean beef stew meat
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 large onion
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 4 Tbsp. tapioca
- 1 cup celery (more, if desired)
- 8 carrots
- 1 can tomato sauce (regular size)
- 1 can mushrooms, drained
- peas, drained (optional)
Dice carrots and celery. Butter casserole. Place all ingredients, except mushrooms, in and mix. Bake at 250 degrees F. for 4 hours, stirring occasionally. Add mushrooms for the last hour, and cover casserole.
