Hi, We do have a website and would love to get beanies to send to the soldiers to pass out to the children. I run the website for LTC James Barker and this is something the soldiers ask for and look forward to doing. We are totally non-profit so if beanies are bought to send most cannot afford to pay much if any for the beanies. If you have beanies to get rid of I can assure you they will be used to benefit both the soldiers and the children, if I can answer any questions just go to http://www.beaniesforbaghdad.com/index.shtml and will be glad to answer any questions. Please consider this. Thanks for LTC James Barker, Donna Ward beaniesforbaghdad.com

Our school district has a annual Fun Fair and one of the prizes we give away is Beanie Babies. You might want to check with your local schools to see if they might need them for that purpose or for prizes for other events. You can total them up, have the school sign for them, and at the end of the year deduct them from your taxes.

I agree with Great Granny Vi. They aren't worth too much anymore. Look for a few needy families and enjoy the smile it brings to a childs face

I buy and sell Beanies on ebay. There is a market for them but not in large lots. A collector most likely already has many and would not want to put out the money for a large lot that may bring too many duplicates to their collection but they will buy a lot of 3 even if they are looking for only one of the ones you have. I would try ebay and list in smaller lots.

RE: Selling Beanie Babies
Just FYI... Beanies are for sale at yard sales and flea markets for 25 cents (with tags, like new) up to $4-$8 but most people will not buy them for more than $1.00. Sorry,I think you are asking to much for them. There are just to many out there for sale.Best of Luck. GGVi

There is a website called BeaniesforBaghdad.com. They will pay a little for beanies. I belong to a group called Freecycle and they have posted that they are looking for beanies to send to the troops in Baghdad so that they can give out the beanies to children that they come upon. You might check it out and see what they are willing to pay. I have been in contact with one of the people that run the program and am planning on getting back with them about my beanies as soon as I'm able to get the beanies out of storage.

If you can't find a way to sell them, how about donating them to a children's hospital and take a charitable tax donation.

RE: Selling Beanie Babies
Selling in lots is sometimes more difficult. Most of us who shop on ebay do not want to drop $100. We are there looking to maybe spend $20. Perhaps you can break the 100 into 5 lots and get more of a response. The other suggestion would be to try to list them on www.mykidscloset.com It is currently free to list so no charge for the ad. You also have the option of saying no shipping pick up only. You may not want strangers at your house but it would save the post office trips. Best of luck.

RE: Selling Beanie Babies
Try e-Bay, the online auction. I did a search on their site and there are plenty of listings so at least there is an outlet for them.
