Lucky (Labrador Retriever X)

This is a picture of Lucky.

She is about 4 months old in this picture. She is 8 months old now.

She is a mixed Lab.

Lucky was a dog that someone had evidently dumped out at the elementary school where I teach.

Everyday she was there and the kids shared their lunches and played with her. She would be so sad when recess was over and the kids lined up to go inside!

After about 2 weeks, the dog was getting bigger and a little more rowdy, she nipped (she was begining to teethe) while playing with a third grade boy. The principal said she would have to call animal control.

This broke my heart so the dog came home with me. My husband and I agreed her name should be named Lucky. Afterall, she is 'lucky' I was there to rescue her!

What a lucky dog to have found a home with you and your family.

Give her a big hug and kiss from all of us.

I rescued a 5 yr old dachshund with seizures last December. Unless folks spay/neuter their pets and rescue unwanted animals, we will, sadly, always have more dogs than good homes for them. You are good soul to adopt this guy and save him from the 'pound' and whatever fate awaited him there! Thanks.

Lucky is simply beautiful! And you are a beautiful person for taking Lucky into your home and your heart. My black lab of 13 years just passed away this march and she was the joy of our life. We miss her very much so. I hope that Lucky will be in your life for many many years.

Love your story and your good deed. My husband got a nip from our cat that drew blood. This little nip ended with his going to the hospital for an infection caused by animal germs. Very pricey consequence.

She is Gorgeous & I bless you for saving her .
I would guess by the shape of her lovely face that there is Rottweillor in there somewhere .
I have a rescued American Bull dog & a rescued Daschund + a bunch of cats who are rescues or kittens of same . I adore them all . But they are a Load of work.
Calling animal control for a puppy nip makes me furious .
None of mine would be alive if I reported every little nip or scratch. They have teeth & claws, be careful,
period. Sometimes I'm Not .
It doesn't make me want them Dead.
But of course the Principal was worried about lawsuits . I'd have grabbed her too .

Lucky is beautiful! I am so glad she was rescued by you. I have 2 rescued mutts that I love dearly. We need more animal lovers like you and your husband. Take good care of Lucky and she will give you great payback with unconditional love.
