What do I use to press and strain raspberries?

You can just use a strainer and a spoon. I think I'd cook them first, then strain and press thru a sieve.

I use a colander lined with cheesecloth or hose.

I just helped my mom squeeze elderberries for jelly. We used old nylon stockings. You could use new ones if you want :)

I think you are referring to a sieve or a mesh strainer. These are very fine mesh that are good for pushing through the pulp of the berries without the seeds. (07/09/2009)
