What is the Best Groundcover for Sunny Rocky Bank?

What is a hardy, fast growing groundcover to put on a bank that is rocky and gets afternoon sun?

Hardiness Zone: 7a

Creeping thyme might be a good choice, it has pretty flowers and likes sunny, rocky areas. Like all thymes it's aromatic, too.

Any of the low-growing sedums would be good. I like the yellow sedum which seems to like it anywhere you put it. And it doesn't interfere with other plants.
