Influence from other people can be a good influence or a bad influence or a just not the best for you influence. There are a lot of pressures to be this way or that way, often from very well meaning friends and family. Be yourself, if you aren't being you, who will be? I think too many people feel pressured/influenced into becoming what other people expect them to be and often we just bite our tongues or go along for fear of upsetting someone or rocking the boat. The point is to be yourself, a unique individual, not everyone might like you or, everyone might love you, but hey, as another reply said you won't be another 'sheep' in the pack. Just because some politician or actor says something, doesn't mean it's right, or even true! Stop and think! Then again, if you know someone to be good, kind and intelligent, then follow that person's example.
