Plastic Wrap Cooked on Corningware Casserole |
|
|
Ooops. I put a corningware casserole into my hot oven with a Saran Wrap cover. The Saran Wrap melted and stuck to the corningware bowl. How can I remove this? Is the casserole bowl ruined? Any help would be appreciated.

I bet if you are careful you could use a razor blade to scrape it off the corningware (which I believe is a kind of tempered glass.) Shouldn't damage it.

Try letting it soak overnight in water to which has been added denture cleaning tablets.

Try cleaning it with a paste of baking soda and water.

I have had my Corningware for nearly 30 years, and it looks like new. I have always cleaned it with Comet, and now use Softscrub. These two cleaners take off everything.
