Removing Candle Wax From Patio

Last summer I stupidly left some candles out on our brand new patio and of course they melted onto the patio itself. We are wanting to pressure wash and paint the patio but I can't get the old melted candle wax off. Any suggestions?!

Could you use the same technique that is used to remove candle wax from carpet? Place a brown paper bag or some type of absorbent paper over the wax and press it down with a warm/hot electric iron. The wax should melt and be soaked up by the paper. Then maybe scrub with a brush,TSP (tri-sodium phosphate) and really hot water. That is what I would try first.
