Message & Doodle Pillowcases
You will need:
Give each child a pillowcase and a piece of cardboard. On each pillowcase they will write their name and a special message to that person. This craft works best if the children begin by writing their own names on their pillowcases, then you can help keep track of whose pillowcases are whose. Have the children write their names all in the same place such as in the right corner.
Also have some pads of paper handy because some children may want to practice drawing their message or a special doodle that they like to draw, to be sure they get it right. It may also be a good idea to purchase several extra pillowcases in case someone does make a large drawing error, because with permanent markers there is no way to erase your mistakes.
While drawing their name or a message on the pillowcase, have the child place the cardboard in the pillowcase to keep the message from coming through on the other side. You can also use a bunch of sheets of paper; at least five sheets of paper should work. Have each child work on a flat surface like a table, hardwood floor or even the seat part of a chair.
Permanent markers now come in a rainbow of colors no longer are we stuck with just red, black, blue and green. You can write your message in permanent marker in pink, orange, purple, silver, gold, light green, lavender, deep purple pretty much any color. Be sure to use permanent markers because the design will remain on the pillowcase through repeated launderings.
Once every child has drawn a message on the pillowcases they are done. The children can then use the pillowcases at the sleepover party they are attending, and they can also take them home.
Design & Doodle Nightshirts
This is a great craft to do in the beginning of the sleepover party. Make sure to do these at least three hours before the children will actually wear them, so that they have ample time to dry. (Hanging them in a warm and dry room will speed this process up also).
For this project you will need:
This project the children will have their name in large letters on the front with a stamped design and then autographs and messages from their friends on the back. You may also want to put on the top of the back of the shirt the date and the occasion "Jamie's 10th birthday party July 11th".
Give each child a t-shirt and some permanent markers. Have them write their name on the front of their shirt in a special and fancy way. This will also help to keep track of whose shirt is whose. Then have each child write a message and a doodle to each other on all of the shirts. Put cardboard between the shirt so that the message does not seep through.
Once the children have completed the back, it is time to stamp a design on the front. Put fabric paint out on large paper plates and give each child a fabric stamp. Designs that circle the name are probably best.
After the shirts are completed, lay them to dry flat or hang them as long as the fabric paint does not drip.
Sleepovers are always so much fun. These projects may lead you to create others, or may inspire other projects for your children to enjoy.

I disagree that nobody wants to do crafts at a sleepover. As a scout leader, our girls (age 9) have hiked, camped, gone swimming, skated, gone to all sorts of fun events. When you ask them what the most fun they have had, they all say crafts! I love the idea for the nightshirt!
hi just wanted to throw a fun thing I read in a book ,
throw m&m's on the floor or where ever and use chop sticks to pick them up , see who gets the most in a minute !
Hi There I have a really fun game for a sleepover! This works really well with teenage birthdays. I call it Fill in the sentences.
1. Get someone to make a story or procedure, such as going to the beach.
2. Leave out some vital words, like sunblock or bathers.
3. Ask your guests for some words, like nouns, people or verbs etc, example - instead of beach for a place maybe someone says Rome or toilet.
4. When everything is finalized, read out your story. The more wild answers the better the story!
Abbie I'm having my 11th birthday party and my mom is going to let me have over boys they just can't stay all night! I don't think you're too young!
Hm-m-m, I'd be totally AGAINST PERMANENT markers around linens, carpeted floors, towels, etc.
Have you ever considered using washable markers
with a message on the backs of friends, then have the friend try to guess what is PRINTED by hints from the group, one at a time? Then, have a contest with damp paper towels as to who can get a partner's back cleanest the fastest with shaving cream dollops?
How about making tissue paper "flowers" of all shapes/sizes on pipecleaners wreaths for the head. Girls LOVE them if done well and not too big. Then loan them scarfs to drape from the very back as in old English dances, along with English harpsichord music?
Another idea is to have each teen girl bring their tweezers and then turn on some fun music and tweeze each other's leg hairs "to the beat ". It's sure to bring a variety of mixed emotions, laughter, and memories.
Have a hair salon parry, but each operator must
create a exotic hairstyle. Each person needs to bring
a can of hairspray, a teasing comb, a hairbrush, and a hand mirror. You supply the hand towels and safety pins for around the neck like at the salons.
Also, bring a favorite light shade of nail polish and
paint toenails for each other, then rubbing in a good
lotion after it all dries. It's a good way to get the giggles and keep it going. Take pictures and
print them out for the next morning's sack-breakfasts "in bed", (boild eggs, fruit, cinnamon rolls/donuts/boxed juice, napkin) , and take home memories.
Clean out your closets of old clothes, but before sending them off to charities, let the girls see them, and based upon their impressions, they must divide into pairs, and think up/write out a funny "skit" using the clothing and any "props" allowed from the house as they go on a hunt to stimulate their imaginations, but with the distinct promise of taking care of and replacing them exactly where found the props when they are through. One skit could take place in the bathtub/with shower curtains pulled
back like a stage when ready, but never unclothed.
Props could range from a rubber chicken, a mop,
a huge alarm clock, a goofy stuffed animal or two,
Dad's clunky shoes, old hats, signs made from large
letters out of magazines/newsprint glued onto a
piece of cardboard, or a funky printed table cloth wrapped around the couple "because the picnic got rained out" and they're singing their made-up song about it to the rest. The sky is the limit on what the
imagination can be stimulated to think up.
God bless you. : )
to the 1st post; abbie, my mom said i can't have most of anything, ( boys, another dog, boyfriend )
until she can't count my age on my fingers. And not just that, in my opinion, you should not have boys at your party till your AT LEAST 12 i say mostly 13. If you can't handle that, then you really don't care about your friends... Just obsessed about boys. Sorry but it is the sad sad truth, u'll learn that in middle school ;]
my birthdays late so i'm only 10 this year but i'm still in 5th grade my mom wont let me have boys at my sleepover i am too young please reply !

I want to have a sleepover with 5 girls, including myself, and I want them to really like it and like me, what games or activities should I have at the sleepover? It needs to be fun and memorable, we're a couple of 16 year olds. Please help this noble cause!
My mom wont let me have boys over for my 11th b-day.Am I too young?
Instead of using makers on pillowcases use iron ons they work as well as markers.
