Easy Nachos

This is a quick and simple appetizer or just a little something when you really aren't in the mood to cook!

Ingredients:

  • taco or tostada shells
  • refried beans
  • cheese
  • jalapeno peppers (or your favorite pepper)
  • tomato, chopped fine (optional)
  • onion, chopped fine (optional)
  • olives, chopped fine (optional)
  • sour cream (optional)

Directions:

If using taco shells, break them into two pieces. Spread a layer of refried beans onto each shell, add a layer of cheese and top with peppers. Put chips under broiler until cheese melts and serve. Add toppings of choice.

Recipe: Easy Nachos

Here is a quick, cheap, and easy meal idea, nachos with refried beans, browned hamburger meat, cheese, tortilla chips. Place chips on a cookie sheet, top with hamburger meat, refried beans and cheese. Bake until cheese is melted and serve with sour cream, and for an easy clean for the pan, use tinfoil.

RE: Easy Nachos

We just tried ours this way recently. We normally put ours in the microwave. Putting them in the oven was so much better, it was like going out to eat them at a restaurant! (11/28/2006)

RE: Easy Nachos

What temp would you use for this recipe? It sounds very good and I'm anxious to try it. (11/29/2006)

RE: Easy Nachos

We had ours on 350 degrees F just until the cheese melted. (11/29/2006)
