Inexpensive, Attractive Waste Basket |
|
|
Need an inexpensive but unique small waste paper basket? Reuse containers from plants or flowers, or go to you local craft store and buy a plant basket. Line it with the plastic shopping bags from the supermarket. To make it extra-special, tie a wide contrasting ribbon around it with a large floppy bow.

Thank you tlbuck and Jill. The bucket containers are also good ideas. Thanks also to Anne for giving us a new idea to think about!

I got a 5-gallon container from my local Pizza Hut that they usually mix sauces in. Since this one had a crack in the top, it serves as a quickie trashcan for when I am spotchecking the living room, afterwards, as a foot rest because my legs tend to swell a bit and keeping them elevated helps with the swelling. Perfect for when I am net surfing...LOL!

I think Anne meant WICKER baskets, not plastic buckets.

You can get these flower buckets FREE at Wal-mart. Ask in the floral dept. for the buckets that they store cut flowers in. They make great cleaning buckets as well!
