Waffles
Ingredients:
2 cups flour
3 tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
3 tsp baking powder
2 eggs, separated
1 3/4 cup milk
4 tbsp melted butter or canola oil
Directions:
Sift dry ingredients into mixing bowl. Stiffly beat egg whites.
Add milk & egg yolks slowly. Beat until smooth. Add melted
butter & beat. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
Cook in waffle iron.

Ingredients
2 eggs
2 cups flour or whole wheat flour
2 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 cup vegetable oil, margarine or butter, melted
4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 2/3 cups milk
Directions
Heat waffle iron. Beat eggs in a medium bowl until fluffy. Beat ion remaining ingredients just until smooth. Do not over-mix. Pour batter onto center of hot waffle iron. Bake 5 minutes or until steaming stops. Remove carefully. Makes twelve waffles.

I make corn bread also called Johnny cake batter and cook in my waffle iron, very hearty and so good.
