I need to wash my aluminum siding with TSP before painting. Does anyone know if this will fade or damage dark colored shingles?

Test it in a small, inconspicuous spot and find out.
If you have instructions to do so; odds are it won't affect them but that all depends on the paints used, their age and the weather conditions to which they have been exposed.
