Grandma's Apple Crisp

I LOVE this recipe and so does everyone who tries it; it is easy and delicious and uses any type of apples that are in season. Adjustments can be made to the amount of sugar that is used.

Ingredients:

  • 5-6 cups chopped apples (or more)
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 3/4 cup to 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine

Directions:

Slice up peeled apples and place in a well buttered 9 by 9 baking dish or casserole. Sprinkle apples liberally with cinnamon and sugar.

Combine 1/2 cup butter or margarine, 3/4 cup to 1 cup brown sugar and 1 cup flour and mix until in small pieces. Place the above mixture over the apples.

Bake in a 350 degree F. oven for 45 minutes to one hour, or until the topping is brown and crunchy. Delicious!

Servings: 6
Time:25 Minutes Preparation Time
45 to 60 Minutes Cooking Time
