Darn ants were driving me nuts, then I remembered growing up on the ranch when I was young my mother used cinnamon cloves, put them in the sugar container, in her cabinets everywhere, they hate the scent, I tried her way, and yes mother knew best.
Wiping a narrow strip with bleach water along door bottoms, window sills works for a while. My daughter used to do that during ant season.
