If the beber carpet is Olefin then it should clean up with nail polish remover just don't let it get to the backing of the carpet. You must do it slowly as to not let the remover get to the bottom of the fibers and to the backing. If all else fails and a professional carpet cleaner can not get it out then I would use carpet dye sticks to re color the stain . see instructional video at www.carpetdyesticks.com

While I was painting my toe nails hot pink, I knocked the bottle over onto my beige carpeting. I did a quick internet search and found that shaving cream would clean it up. I figured I had nothing to lose. Spray some on and start dabbing with a cloth. It worked like magic!

When my cat knocked down a glass tray from my dresser and broke a bottle of nail polish in the process, acetone took it all out without hurting the carpet. Of course, I don't know what condition the hardwood floor is in underneath, but hey, if I ever pulled up the carpet, the whole floor would have to be refinished anyway.

OMG! You need to get Sol-U-Mel made by Melaleuca. It took out hot pink fingernail polish and permanent marker, out of my daughter's carpet. Just to name a few uses. (09/10/2007)

Was I ever surprised how the Sol-U-Mel from Melaleuca really worked. I myself had spilled dark red nail polish on our Berber living room carpet and it took it right out. THANK YOU! (01/10/2008)

Spilled dark brown fingernail polish all over beige Berber carpet and chair. Used rubbing alcohol and muscle power with an old rag and went over several times. Came right out of carpet and chair. (11/14/2008)
