Growing Orchids

I have two small leaves growing from the main stem of my orchid. I have several orchids and have never seen this before and wondered if anyone else has?

Growing Orchids

I was given a beautiful orchid plant for my birthday and all the flowers have dropped off of it. Is it dead? Can I do anything to make it bloom again? I feel so sad to have lost this gorgeous plant. It is just the stems in the planter. Thank you.

It looses it's flowers as do all flowering plants. No, it's not dead, yet lol. My sister has several orchids and says some only bloom every other year. It depends on the flower. Be sure that the lighting on it stays constant.
Good luck.

I have 2 orchids and both have a white powder on them. They do not look healthy. Can someone help me what am I doing wrong?

I have several orchids in full bloom. When the blooming stops, I would like to know if I am to cut any of the stem away to prepare for the next blooming period? I thought I read someplace that you cut back below the last bloom point on the stem. Can you help me on this one?
