No Walnuts This Year?

Does anyone know why my walnut tree is not throwing walnuts this year. It is 5 yrs. old now and it has been giving me walnuts until this year.

It could be that when the tree was in bloom, the pollinators were suppressed somehow, such as a cold spell or heavy rain.

My neighbor has a pecan orchard here in GA Last year it produced nothing. He said that about every 5 years he doesn't get a crop due to loss of rain and the elements, so this may be true for walnuts also.
