I'm trying to find a lamp base that is fillable. I can't find one for under $100.

My website just went live on 1/13/09, and I sell fillable lamps that are able to be used as a terrarium in the base, but are also able to be filled with anything you desire. The lamps do not have a rod down the middle, which I think is an advantage. I hope I am able to post to this site with my website address. It is MoonTreeHandWorks.com.

Thank you.
Monica

I have got about 60 lbs of different shapes sea shells and trying to find a filllable lamp to place them in. I have tried many places including Wal-marts but nothing as yet.

Lowes or Home Depot has a children line of lamps. they are glass and have a removable top so that they can be filled. I painted the white base brown and filled mine with sand and seashells. i have seen these lamps for 60 plus in stores and online. The lamp cost me 12.99 at Lowes and the sand and shells cost me 5.68 at a craft store. The shade - $15.00. My total was under 35. It's a conversation piece!

I have seen kits where it gives you a lamp top to put a lid on a canning jar.

Try Pat Cataans.

I have seen the fillable lamps at The Christmas Tree Shop. I think they were 20 or 30 dollars each.

You should try looking at some thrift shops. I have seen several there. They may be used but a lot of them are still in perfect condition! Just make sure they are in working order before purchasing them.
