I'm a Junior in High school in NY state. (I don't have a date yet but I can take care of that). I need some real wicked money savers when paying for Limo rental, tux rental (w/ shoes), and corsage purchase. I'm really desperate here! So if you know any good places to buy any of these things or any strategies to saving money, let me know ASAP! My prom is on May 20th. I need the advice at least Four weeks in advance!

I plan on renting a 6 seat imo and car pooling with two other couples and splitting the cost with them. If i bring a girl from another school, I'll have to pay for her seat too! (Bringing someone from my school is pretty hard, because I've got nobody to go with) so far I think I can cover getting the couples. I still need a cheap place to rent it from! They are getting sold out as we speak!

Do you have an aunt, mother or grandmother who's good with flowers? See if they could make your date's corsage.

About a tux, have you checked with family members to see if they have one that might fit you so you'll not have to rent or buy. If not, I'd try at your local thrift stores.

As for a date, do you have a girl in your neighborhood that you might take?
Or a girl that goes to your church? Everyone likes to get asked to a dance.

Best of Luck, have a great time!!

Check into getting the corsage from your local grocery with a floral department. My daughter got her wedding flowers and bouquet from our Kroger floral department and saved over half. They were really nice.

Do you have to rent a limo?
How about getting a parent to drive who has a big car and making them agree to act as a chauffeur?

About the tux - go to your local Goodwill and see what they have. If one fits you, it will be very inexpensive. Check out the shoes while you are at it.
In this case, it's cheaper to own and dry clean than to rent.
I'd like to point out that my son rented these more than once and frequently the store didn't have the chosen items at the last minute (even though they were reserved with a deposit because the last person ruined them, poor bookkeeping, or they hadn't been turned in yet).
Someone famous (can't recall who) was always being invited to fancy dress up affairs. When asked how he managed to be lucky enough to be so popular, he replied that he owned his own tux and that's what made the difference.
Have a nice time!
If this is your first date it will be awkward to be together for so many hours. Better to make it date number 2 or 3.

Corsages and similar you could make yourself.

It would look totally unique and would blow your date away!

Choose two contrasting flowers and wrap matching wired ribbon around the stems, leaving curls trailing from the bottom -

A Corsage in the UK is worn like a button hole....at the lapel, so I may be giving you the wrong info, but you could adapt the formula, and flatter your date by asking her what colour she is wearing because you have a surprise! (I love anything homemade and always have!)

Good luck, you'll have an amazing time

Where I live in TN, guys could rent a tux for half price from one place if they would wear one to school for a day. Maybe you could check to see if rental places in your area offer similar deals. You could also ask relatives if they own a tux you could borrow.
