Save all your grocery receipts in an envelope for several months instead of just tossing them away. I would find a rebate a week or two after I purchased an item and even if I had the upc I had already tossed the store receipt. So now I keep them just in case a refund or rebate comes along for something I've purchased.

Since some stores' receipts fade quickly, I would photocopy those stores' recepts right away, so you have a readable copy saved.
