Avoid Water Moccasins by a Pond

Several years ago, we were feeding the ducks at a local pond when we noticed there were little heads sticking up eating the bread also. We assumed they were moccasin, and it turned out they were. Moccasins are venomous, and baby ones like to come to the shore often and search for food, or just watch. They are amusing but dangerous. So my tip is to watch your feet when at the pond feeding ducks. Moccasins are known to be very interested in goings on around the pond.
