I have a red dress, made of chiffon and has "blobs" of candle wax on them. I've tried fairy liquid on it but they don't budge. I need this dress for tonight. Please help!

i have a "steamer", the red one from "scunci"...this things was a gamble when i bought it..thinking it was at "big lots" for a reason...it has helped me get out sooooooo much junk off of things it has more than earned back what i spent for it..(20.00)..just lay a paper towel, or terry as suggested earlier, and lay the garment atop...turn on steamer, or any other really hot warming unit..and wa la...melted wax...just b careful..it's steamy hot!! good luck!!

try this - the idea comes from a carpet cleaner - take a hand towel - terry cloth and put over the wax stained area - use dry heat - an iron - the wax should come off and bleed into the terry towel - this method works on carpets drapes and upholstry too.
