RE: Packaging for Homemade Body Oils
Make a handmade custom box that can be used for something else later. If you know how to wood burn, make old fashioned wood burned boxes for your creams that later could have other uses like for storage, a coupon box, or to hold soaps.

RE: Packaging for Homemade Body Oils
Well kimhis I know that my business is already like you say "saturated" and I agree with you.. but where I live everybody is doing it to same but I have ideas that no one is using and doing this blog is just as a helpful feedback tool. I have a good clientale and ready to branch out. I know what obstacles are there to face and I'm prepared for what it may bring. Futhermore, I make some of my own scents so it is a high area but its all about how you present yourself to the world. Thanks for your feedback it was greatly appreciate it.

I've used Nashville Wraps for packaging supplies. They have lots that you can customize. http://www.nashvillewraps.com/
One of my best friends got personalized ribbon for her business. It really adds a little extra something to presentation. I'm not sure where she got hers, but I could ask.
And on a different note, I don't know how long you've been in business. There is a book called Minding Her Own Business. It's very good, and I recommend it so you run everything properly. Best of luck. I wish you much success!

I haven't read it for a while, but Dynamic Graphics magazine (http://www.dynamicgraphics.com/) always used to have really creative ways of making an impression. From logos, to business cards, and packaging, they had great ideas. I often felt it a shame I didn't have my own business! Check out the Topics and Webcasts on the web site.
If you don't get much from the web site, I recommend you buy the magazine for a couple of issues.

RE: Packaging for Homemade Body Oils
I'm the one who's business name you picked, i have no idea on how to go about doing the packaging, but i say go for your dreams and try it! It does not matter if others have done it to death so what" you may have great scents that others will love. You will never know until you try it. There is never just one of something out there anymore, if we delayed following our dreams because of that reason no one would do anything. So go for it & good luck to you! Since Butterfly is in your business name if your boxes could be shaped in a butterfly that would be cool but have no idea on how to do the packaging or where to go. Best Of Luck!

My dear, you are trying to enter a market that is already saturated. How are you going to make anything different and superior to what's out there now? do a search and see that there are too many products like that already.

RE: Packaging for Homemade Body Oils
Am I right that you will manufacture the scented oils, put them in bottles yourself, and then want labeling for the (bottles and) boxes? The most economical way would be to find a company that prints your copy (name of product or company name and info) on clear tape that you could then apply to the bottles and boxes. Look for some variation on "specialty" or "personalized" items in the yellow pages, or a printer, or find a local company that has theirs done and ask them where they went.
