Can anyone identify these flowers? They start out with a hairy pod and then bloom. I do not know if they are wild or if I planted them. They are purpelish blue.
I agree with Chickweed, they do look like love-in-a-mist, Nigella damascena. If you don't dead head them, you'll have millions next season. Gail x

They all look like cosmos. The purple and white in the back are for sure, the blue may be too. I plant alot of them in the summer from seed I save every year.

Looks like nigella/love-in-a-mist. It is an annual that reseeds prolifically.It could have blown in or been dropped in by a bird. Dries well.
