Saturday, Sept. 29, 2007, marks the opening of two U-pick pumpkin patches in the Nebraska City area - a short and scenic drive from Omaha and Lincoln. "The pumpkin patches at Arbor Day Farm Tree Adventure and Kimmel Orchard and Vineyard are bursting with pumpkins," says Erik Olson, manager of Arbor Day Farm and Kimmel Orchard and Vineyard. "Picking the perfect pumpkin is a fall tradition that the whole family will enjoy." At Arbor Day Farm Tree Adventure the new pumpkin patch is part of the Autumn Festival and a full day of fun for the entire family. The Tree Adventure attraction also offers a corn maze, hay rides, 50-foot Canopy Tree House, interactive Woodland Pavilion, "Trees in the Movies," Hiking trails and a free tree seedling.
