To bake potatoes faster, start them warming in microwave a minute or so to get them heated trough and through. Pop in oven and they will bake faster for your meal. Really good for when you are barbecuing outdoors. They will be ready by the time the meat is done and your salad is made.

If you don't want your potatoes baked in the microwave, put them in the oven with a cleaned nail stuck through them. The nail will absorb the heat and cook the potato faster. It really works, but make sure you clean the nail good and save it in a plastic bag for future use.
