At your son's age, he isn't even going to know what a party is. Why bother having a party at that age, limit it to grandparents, aunts and uncles, and if any of those people have kids include them. Eliminate everybody else, that way, the kids can just play or whatever, and the adults can visit, while supervising the kids.
