Make Your Clothing Multi-task

Make your clothing multi-task. Wear a sweater over a dress and turn it into a skirt. Wrap a shawl around your waist and it is a sarong. Wear a tube top around your neck with the same color sweater and it becomes a turtleneck. You can make a pair of children's leg warmers from the arms of an old sweater.

Do the same with jewelry. Use a bracelet with a clip closure to lengthen a necklace - clip the bracelet clasp to the jump ring of the necklace and then use the jump ring of the bracelet to attach the necklace clasp. Use one necklace to double up another. Use a brooch to cinch a blazer from the back for a more fitted look. Use a safety pin to shorten a necklace. Use a brooch to shorten dress straps from the back. Use matching bracelets to detract from short sleeves. Use a necklace as a belt - double the strand and feed a ribbon through the loops and tie in back. You can also use a chain belt as a chunky necklace. Turn a belt into a wrist cuff.
