Both of these recipes for Cheerio treats are delicious and easy to make.
Grease 9x13 inch pan. Melt butter in saucepan on low heat. Add marshmallows and baking powder. Stir until melted and smooth. Remove from heat. Add cereal until well coated. Press mixture into pan. Cool and cut in pieces.
Grease 13x9 pan. Melt margarine. Add marshmallows; toss to coat with margarine. Microwave on high 1 1/2 minutes or until smooth when stirred.
Stir in peanut butter. Immediately add cereal. Mix lightly until well coated. Using greased spatula or wax paper, press mixture into prepared pan. Cool and cut into squares.
Please check this recipe...Is it truely 1/2 cup baking powder????
Editor's Note: Thanks for catching that Opal. 1/2 cup baking powder would make a horrible treat. We do our best to have things be correct but it always helps to have all the Eagle eyes on everything published. I corrected the recipe and added another version of them.
