Tasty Meat Loaf

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 can tomato sauce (15 oz.)
  • 1/3 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 2 Tbsp. finely chopped onion
  • 2 Tbsp. finely chopped green pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • dash pepper

Directions

Combine ground beef, 1/4 cup of the tomato sauce, bread crumbs, onion, green pepper, egg, chili powder, salt and pepper; mix well. Shape into a loaf in a lightly greased baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes. Pour 1/4 cup of the tomato sauce over loaf and bake 15 minutes longer. Heat remaining tomato sauce and serve over sliced meat loaf. Makes 5 servings.
