Make Elastic Clips to Keep Toddler Pants Up

Toddler's pants keep falling down and they are much too young to wear a belt for safety reasons. My tip is to make what I call elastic clips to hold up their pants. What is needed is 2 suspender clips, a 1x3 inch strip of elastic band and a piece of cloth that is twice the length of the elastic band.

Sew the outer edge of the cloth leaving the ends open so that it will then be turned inside out to enclose the elastic strip then fix the clips on the ends of the elastic strip that is covered with cloth and sew the clip onto each end.

Now this can be clipped on to the back part of the toddlers pants creating an elastic band in the back that will keep their pants or shorts up.

An easier way is to simply put snaps on the inside of the waistband and the opposite part of the snap on a onesie or undershirt. Then snap together. Just make sure you put them in the same places on other clothes too and they are interchangeable.
