Mayonnaise is a common ingredient in recipes such as salads, sandwiches and dips, but it can be very full of fat and calories. Making your own allows you to control what ingredients are included to make it a healthy condiment. This page contains recipes for fat free mayonnaise.
This is an easy, healthy substitute for traditional mayonnaise. You might find that you like it even better. It also makes a good dip.
Peel and chop the avocado. Add it and all the other ingredients to food processor and process until smooth. You can also do this by hand. Smash the avocado with a fork until it is smooth. Slowly beat in the lemon/lime juice, milk, and mustard until well blended. Add Tabasco to taste. Chill. This is best used the same day.
