Easy homemade cake that tastes great.
Ingredients:
Cake
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 2 sticks margarine
- 1 cup water
- 4 Tbsp. cocoa
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 2 eggs (slightly beaten)
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
Icing
- 1 stick margarine
- 1 Tbsp. cocoa
- 5 Tbsp. milk
- Powdered Sugar
Directions:
Sift flour and sugar into a large mixing bowl; set aside.
In a small saucepan, mix margarine, water and cocoa together.
Bring to a rapid boil and pour over sugar and flour. Mix
well with a electric mixer. Add buttermilk, eggs, baking
soda and vanilla; mix well and pour into greased and floured
18x12-inch sheet pan. Bake 20 minutes at 350 degrees F. For
icing, in small saucepan, combine margarine, cocoa and milk.
Bring to a boil, remove from heat. Add enough powdered sugar
to get a smooth icing texture. Ice cake while hot.
