Dye Transferred in the Wash?

I washed a very expensive grey sweatshirt with a new pair of jeans and the blue bled onto the sweatshirt. Yes, unfortunately, I also dried the sweatshirt.

I would wash the sweatshirt with some white towels or colorfast items and add a little bleach, like a quarter cup.
